Job Summary And Responsibilities

As our Biomedical Equipment Technician (BMET), you will be a crucial technical specialist, ensuring the safe, functional, and reliable operation of vital medical equipment.

Every day, you will inspect, calibrate, perform preventive maintenance, troubleshoot, and repair a wide range of biomedical devices. You'll maintain accurate service records and provide technical support to clinical staff, ensuring compliance and operational excellence.

To be successful in this role, you will possess strong technical troubleshooting skills, meticulous attention to detail, and a commitment to quality and patient safety.

• Conducts preventative maintenance, safety tests, and calibration
• Repairs equipment and prioritizes workload with minimal supervision
• Manages work order records and resolves customer service issues
• Assists with ordering parts and supplies
• Cross-trains technicians and collaborates effectively
• Stays current on technology, medical advances, and regulatory standards

Required

Job Requirements

• Associates degree in Electrical Engineering, Biomedical or Mechanical Engineering or related field, upon hire or Technical School equivalent military education, graduate of technical program, upon hire or equivalent training validated through training certifications or equivalent experience, upon hire
• A minimum of 2 years’ experience servicing technical equipment
• Valid Driver's License

Preferred

• Certified Biomedical Equipment Technician, upon hire

This position requires participation in a rotational on-call schedule, including nights, weekends, and holidays. Candidates must be available to respond to urgent service needs outside of regular business hours and may be required to return to the facility on short notice.

Pay Range

$28.10 - $41.80 /hour
