Senior Structural Engineer

MSCEB is seeking an experienced Senior Structural Engineer with strong hands-on structural analysis and design experience gained within an engineering consultancy environment. The successful candidate will deliver safe, efficient and fully coordinated structural solutions across all design stages.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop structural concepts, preliminary designs and detailed designs.
• Perform structural analysis and design calculations and prepare technical specifications.
• Design reinforced concrete and structural steel structures in accordance with international codes.
• Coordinate structural design activities with architects, engineers, clients and other consultants.
• Review structural drawings, calculations and multidisciplinary design interfaces.
• Conduct peer reviews and ensure compliance with internal QA/QC procedures.
• Respond to technical and site queries and review relevant construction-stage submittals.
• Assess constructability, project risks and value-engineering opportunities.
• Plan resources and monitor project schedules, budgets and deliverables.
• Mentor junior engineers, graduates and technicians.
• Attend client, coordination and technical meetings as required.

Qualifications and Experience

• Master’s degree or equivalent qualification in Structural Engineering.
• 10–15 years of structural engineering experience.
• Proven structural design experience within an engineering consultancy is mandatory.
• Strong experience in high-rise buildings, including dynamic and seismic analysis.
• Experience across residential, commercial, hotel and retail projects.
• In-depth knowledge of reinforced concrete, structural steelwork and constructability assessment.
• Strong knowledge of British, European and US structural design codes and standards.
• Ability to independently develop and validate structural calculations and engineering solutions.

Required Software Skills

• Advanced proficiency in ETABS, SAP2000 and SAFE.
• Working knowledge of Revit and AutoCAD.
• Experience with structural analysis and design software such as STAAD.Pro, PROKON and Tekla Tedds.
• Ability to independently verify software outputs through validation calculations.
