Lubbock Quality Manager
Supervises
Assigned factory Quality team members that may include Technicians, Auditors, and/or Inspectors.

How You Will Do It
- Lead improvement of supplier and incoming inspection processes and products with the goal of Zero Defects through enhanced Process Failure Modes & Effects Analysis (pFMEA), Mistake Proofing techniques, and robust Control Plans.
- Lead cross-functional teams to reduce the supplied Cost of Poor Quality (CoPQ) and supplier rejects through structured root cause problem-solving activities such as 8D and Six Sigma.
- Improve and sustain the ISO 9001 Quality Management System, including performance of internal system audits and/or layered process audits, as well as support external audits.
- Plan and oversee the analysis, inspection, testing, and other process controls to assure the supplied quality of products or components to meet specification.
- Lead assigned Advance Product Quality Planning (APQP) stage gate quality deliverables for new product/process development and Engineering Change Notification (ECN) projects including Production Part Approval Process (PPAP).
- Drive improvement in the calibration and metrology system, records, and assets.
- Maintain a working knowledge of necessary government and industry quality codes and standards to ensure product compliance.
- English language proficiency (reading, writing, speaking)
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering (Electrical, Mechanical, Manufacturing Engineering)
- Minimum 2 years of related Quality Engineering experience in an ISO/TS certified manufacturing environment
- Strong background of root cause problem-solving including knowledge of 8D, Six Sigma, Mistake Proofing, and Statistical Process Control (SPC) tools and techniques.
- Working knowledge of ISO 9001 Quality Management Systems and ability to interpret technical drawings, specifications, and standards.
- Prior experience with New Product Introduction (NPI) and Advanced Product Quality Planning (APQP) techniques including Production Part Approval Process (PPAP).
- Demonstrated strengths of resiliency and process focus implementing Quality standards and best practices.
- Bilingual (English primary, Spanish secondary)
- Master’s degree (Engineering, Business, or Quality)
- ASQ Certified Quality Engineer (CQE)
- Six Sigma Green or Black Belt certification
