Quality Engineer – EMEA

The Role
We are currently seeking an experienced Manufacturing Quality Engineer to join a global Quality team supporting the delivery of complex engineered products across EMEA.
The successful candidate will take end-to-end ownership of quality issues, working from initial identification through supplier resolution, production, and project installation. You will work closely with Design, Engineering, Manufacturing, Supply Chain, Project and Site teams to identify root causes, implement corrective actions and drive continuous improvement.
Experience within manufacturing, complex engineered products, BESS, inverters or related industries would be highly advantageous.
Key Responsibilities
- Own quality issues from initial identification through to final resolution.
- Manage quality issues as individual projects, from component-level issues through to wider manufacturing and product concerns.
- Conduct Root Cause Analysis (RCA) and implement sustainable corrective and preventive actions.
- Work cross-functionally with Design, Engineering, Manufacturing, Supply Chain, Project and Site teams.
- Drive design changes where required and ensure changes are correctly implemented by suppliers and manufacturers.
- Work directly with suppliers to investigate quality issues, implement corrective actions and verify their effectiveness.
- Conduct and follow up on First Production Quality Checks following design or process changes.
- Ensure quality improvements are successfully carried through from manufacturing into project installation.
- Analyse quality trends and identify recurring issues, escalating to 8D and CAPA processes where appropriate.
- Support internal and third-party supplier audits.
- Engage effectively with stakeholders at multiple levels to achieve quality and project delivery objectives.
- Prepare quality reports and presentations for Quality, Engineering and wider business stakeholders.
- Manage multiple priorities effectively within a fast-paced environment.
- Work independently, take ownership and drive quality issues through to closure with minimal guidance.
Candidate Requirements
- 5–10 years of relevant quality engineering experience.
- Degree, qualification or strong professional background in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering, ideally with experience across both disciplines.
- Strong experience within a manufacturing or complex engineered product environment.
- Proven experience in quality issue resolution and Root Cause Analysis.
- Experience with 8D, CAPA and corrective/preventive action processes.
- Strong supplier quality and supplier management experience.
- Experience working cross-functionally with Engineering, Manufacturing, Supply Chain and Project teams.
- Strong problem-solving and project-management capabilities.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder-management skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage changing priorities.
- Experience with BESS, inverters, energy storage or related industries is highly desirable.
