Main responsibilities
- Write manual and automated tests to conduct complex functional - integration tests to confirm that the acceptance criteria have been met;
- Perform functional testing in web/desktop applications and back-end systems;
- Support, maintain, and improve all related test documentation;
- Report software defects and collaborate across multiple development teams to resolve them;
- Work closely with product managers, developers, and other QA team members to ensure high-quality products;
- Apply Agile principles effectively in day-to-day activities;
- Advocate for product quality within a cross-functional development team;
- Contribute to feature testing strategies and actively participate in QA Guild discussions;
- Help make the release process as smooth as possible while maintaining the highest quality;
- Collaborate with team members to share knowledge and support best testing practices;
- Bring your own ideas and initiatives – there is lots of space for creativity and innovation;
- Ensure that the product meets high-quality standards for deployment.
- Proven experience in quality assurance (with a stronger focus on backend and API testing);
- Proficiency with API testing tools (Postman, Insomnia, or similar);
- Experience testing APIs (preferably GraphQL);
- Strong experience in test case design, creating feature test plans, and managing test execution;
- Experience in performing regression, functional, smoke, and ad-hoc testing;
- Experience with test automation;
- Familiarity with management tools (like Jira, Confluence, etc.);
- Quick understanding of complex technical systems/structures;
- A desire for quality in each and all aspects of the shippable product;
- Experience with Agile/Kanban (or similar) methodologies and understanding how to work in dev teams;
- Good verbal and written communication skills, written and spoken English;
- Frontend automation using scripting languages like JavaScript or TypeScript with Playwright is a big plus (though experience with Cypress, WebdriverIO, or other Selenium/non-Selenium frameworks is also welcome);
- An even greater advantage if you have experience with backend/API automation (e.g., NodeJS, Jest, Axios, Supertest);
- Experience contributing to or maintaining existing test automation frameworks;
- Experience with Virtualization and GitLab CI/CD tools;
- Experience with Docker and containerized environments would be a big plus.
