Job Summary:**

The Credit Manager will be responsible for overseeing and managing all credit-related activities within the Nandyal branch, ensuring sound lending practices, risk mitigation, and adherence to company policies and regulatory guidelines.

Job Responsibilities:**

  • Manage the end-to-end credit assessment process for various loan products, including individual and business loans.
  • Analyze financial statements, credit reports, and other relevant data to evaluate creditworthiness of applicants.
  • Conduct thorough due diligence and risk assessments to identify potential credit risks and propose mitigation strategies.
  • Approve, reject, or recommend credit proposals based on established credit policies and delegated authority.
  • Monitor existing loan portfolios for early warning signs of default and initiate appropriate recovery actions.
  • Develop and implement strategies to minimize credit losses and maintain a healthy portfolio quality.
  • Ensure compliance with all internal credit policies, regulatory requirements, and lending guidelines.
  • Liaise with sales, operations, and legal teams to facilitate smooth credit processing and resolution of issues.
  • Prepare and present credit reports and analyses to senior management.
  • Train and mentor junior credit officers and support staff.

Job Qualifications:**

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field. MBA or relevant professional certification (e.g., CA, CFA) is a plus.
  • Minimum of 5-7 years of progressive experience in credit management within the financial services industry, preferably with experience in a Non-Banking Financial Company (NBFC).
  • Strong understanding of credit analysis techniques, financial modeling, and risk assessment methodologies.
  • In-depth knowledge of Indian financial regulations and lending practices.
  • Proven track record of managing a significant credit portfolio with low delinquency rates.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
  • Strong communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel, and experience with credit management software.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
  • Fluency in Telugu and English is essential.
