We are expanding our great team! We are seeking for a dedicated Print Operator (m/f/d) for our event operations in motorsport worldwide. Tasks And Responsibilities
As a Print Operator, you will play an important role in our team at various event locations. Your main tasks include:
- Responsible for the setup, operation and maintenance of our on-site printers to produce high-quality printing materials
- Monitoring the ongoing printing process for color accuracy, sharpness and defects
- Preparing print files and coordinate orders with our international partner printhouses (as support to our inhouse printing)
- Partly coordinating with our client and our design department (for example to exchange artwork)
- Image editing/creating print-ready files in illustrator, then also actual printing (Caldera Software, HP Latex 365 printers)
- Cutting stickers as support the installation crew
- Exchanging vinyl roles, color checking/matching of our own prints and external orders
- Collaborating with project managers to meet specifications
- Troubleshooting and resolving on-site issues
- Adhere to industry standard safety practices. Operate all tool and equipment according to specified safety requirements.
- Help unload and store materials and tools; clean and maintain storage areas
- Artwork & Layout: Take supplied artwork and/or design concepts and transform them into precise, press-ready final assets (trackside banners, off-track installations including podiums, cool down rooms and media pens, stickering and other printed applications).
- Quality Control & Pre-Press: Perform rigorous pre-flighting, check colour management (CMYK/RGB), set correct bleeds and margins, and proofread text.
- Brand Consistency: Strictly apply and maintain corporate identity, typography guidelines, grids, and visual hierarchies across all deliverables.
- Image Retouching: Execute high-standard photo manipulation, colour correction, clipping paths, and asset scaling.
- File Management: Organise, archive, and version-control digital assets neatly within production servers.
- Collaboration: Partner with designers, on-site team leaders, and external print/digital suppliers to meet strict delivery deadlines. (please find various pictures of our past projects on our Instagram account: SportSignage)
- Software Proficiency: Expert command of Adobe Creative Cloud (InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop) and familiarity with presentation tools like PowerPoint.
- Technical Knowledge: Deep understanding of print production processes, special finishes, paper weights, and digital output resolutions.
- Attention to Detail: Meticulous eye for typographical alignment, spacing, and error-free copy execution.
- Time Management: Proven ability to balance multiple fast-paced projects under tight schedules.
- Qualifications: A degree or formal training in Graphic Design, Visual Arts, or equivalent commercial studio experience.
- Ability to follow instructions, work independently and as part of an international team
- Ability to work under pressure to output high volumne, high quality work
- Willingness to shadow experienced printers to gain practical knowledge and skills
- Flexibility and willingness to travel for our international projects
- English skills are required
