Role - Site Quality Manager
Location - Greifswald, Germany
Candidate must be German and English speaking
- The Site Quality Manager creates, maintains, and reviews the implementation of the site quality plan, ensuring compliance with contractual, legal, and internal requirements.
- They manage quality activities on the construction site throughout the construction process. They report on site quality activities and coordinate related quality interfaces. They ensure transparent communication with clients, project teams, subcontractors, and the Quality department regarding quality-related issues.
- Ensure that customer requirements are fully identified, verified, and considered in all on-site activities.
- Ensure that the customer is informed of any quality issues and progress on the construction site.
- Ensure that quality-related customer inquiries are communicated and addressed on-site with appropriate responsiveness.
Site Quality
- Prepare, implement, update, and execute the site quality plan in coordination with the Project Manager and Project Quality Manager
- Review work processes and methods for compliance with contract requirements, manufacturer specifications, and best practices
Quality Management
- Managing quality activities, interfaces, and on-site inspections, and coordinating all quality-related matters
- Liaison with the client's quality representative, the project quality manager, internal departments, suppliers, and subcontractors
- Responsibility for organizing and participating in on-site inspections
- Ensuring high-quality communication on-site
- Conducting or organizing necessary training, e.g., to raise awareness of site quality
- Managing and maintaining overviews and processes for deviations (NC) and error lists (LOPS), and tracking their processing and verifying their effectiveness
Quality of Suppliers and Subcontractors
- Verification and documentation that the materials received for the project comply with the approved specifications, are handled and stored appropriately, and are acceptable for use in the project
Control of Records
- Ensure that internal/external records (proof of conformity with requirements) are identified and collected(e.g., site quality plans and ITPs, declarations of construction and testing methods, inspection and test reports, NC logs, handover certificates, site modification forms, red entries in drawings, etc.)
Experience required
- German speaker (B2 level minimum) and English speaker
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering or construction or an equivalent professional qualification
- Relevant experience in quality management, quality assurance, and quality control within project environments
- Proven track record in project execution
- Practical experience in construction and commissioning, with a sound understanding of materials, methods, and techniques
- Demonstrated ability to develop and implement Site Quality Plans and Inspection & Test Plans (ITPs) for turnkey high-voltage projects
- Ensuring delivery of quality-conform construction in regard to design.
- Making awareness on Quality Duties to the ONSHORE SITE team.
- Proposing quality prevention measures upstream of the process to minimize the amount of non-conformance occurring during construction work.
- Ensuring proper application of quality process for GE employees and external suppliers on site.
