Pay Range: $45.78 - $82.98 per hour
Compensation is based on experience and other factors, including education, training, seniority, and applicable collective bargaining agreements.

As an ICU Stepdown nurse, you'll care for patients who require a higher level of monitoring and intervention than traditional medical-surgical patients while working alongside a highly collaborative team of physicians, specialists, respiratory therapists, and fellow nurses.

What You'll Do
In this role, you will:
- Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate individualized patient care plans.
- Monitor patients with complex medical needs and respond quickly to changing conditions.
- Deliver evidence-based nursing care in accordance with professional practice standards.
- Document patient care accurately and thoroughly within the electronic health record.
- Collaborate closely with interdisciplinary care teams to achieve the best possible outcomes.
- Delegate and coordinate care appropriately among team members.
- Participate in quality improvement, patient safety, infection prevention, and departmental initiatives.
- Pursue ongoing professional growth through education and development opportunities.
- Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing.
- Current Registered Nurse (RN) license.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification upon hire.
- Minimum of one year of recent (within the last 36 months) progressive care, intermediate care, or stepdown nursing experience, or currently oriented and able to provide independent patient care within the department.
- Demonstrated competence in managing higher-acuity patient populations.
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN).
- Previous leadership experience.
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) within 6 months of hire.
- NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) Certification within 6 months of hire.
- Strong clinical judgment and critical thinking skills.
- Commitment to patient-centered care and exceptional patient experiences.
- Ability to build positive relationships with patients, families, and colleagues.
