Join Our Behavioral Health Team
Greater Valley Health Center is seeking a compassionate and dedicated School Based Outpatient Therapist to provide behavioral health services to students within a school setting. This position works closely with students, families, school staff, and healthcare providers to support mental wellness, emotional regulation, crisis intervention, and long-term therapeutic success.
This is an excellent opportunity for a licensed therapist or licensure candidate who is passionate about working with children and adolescents in a collaborative, integrated care environment.
Responsibilities
- Provide individual, group, and family therapy for children and adolescents
- Conduct mental health assessments, screenings, diagnosis, treatment planning, and crisis intervention
- Deliver evidence-based behavioral health services in a school-based setting
- Collaborate with school staff, parents, primary care providers, and behavioral health professionals
- Participate in IEP meetings, student support teams, and care coordination
- Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation
- Support students experiencing anxiety, depression, trauma, behavioral challenges, and social-emotional concerns
- Provide referrals and coordinate integrated care services as needed
- Maintain compliance with HIPAA, ethical standards, and Montana licensing requirement
- Master's degree in:
- Clinical Social Work
- Professional Counseling
- Psychology
- Related Behavioral Health Field
- Montana licensure or licensure candidacy as:
- LCPC/PCLC
- LCSW/SWLC
- CPR Certification (training available through GVHC)
- Preferred:
- Experience in mental health, counseling, or clinical settings
- Experience working with youth, adolescents, or in schools
- Knowledge of trauma-informed care, crisis response, and integrated behavioral health
- Strong communication and clinical skills
- Team-oriented and collaborative
- Organized with strong documentation abilities
- Compassionate, empathetic, and culturally responsive
- Comfortable working independently and within interdisciplinary teams
- Passionate about supporting student mental health and wellness
