Credit Controller

As part of our continued growth and the creation of a new position, we are seeking a Credit Controller to strengthen our Credit Management function.

The Credit Controller is responsible for proactively managing customer credit risk, ensuring efficient collection of receivables, and supporting cash flow optimization while maintaining constructive and long-term business relationships with customers. The role also plays a key part in protecting the company from financial risk and supporting business development.

The main responsibilities of the position are as follows:

Credit risk management :

• Assess the solvency of customers and prospects before granting payment terms.

• Manage credit limits and payment terms adapted to the financial profile.

• Make decisions on blocking/unblocking customer accounts.

• Monitor and analyze customer outstanding balances and overall risk exposure.

• Manage the analysis and rating tool (CreditSafe).

• Monitor factoring operations and assignments of receivables (in coordination with Eurofactor).

• Manage relations with the credit insurer (limits, coverage, claim declarations).

• Participate in updating the Group credit policy.

• Contribute to improving the reliability of customer reference data (master data).

• Ensure compliance with internal procedures and regulatory requirements.

Collection & cash optimization

• Monitor and record cash receipts and manage reminder actions (automatic and personalized).

• Organize collection actions according to priorities based on aging balance analysis and customer type.

• Monitor and resolve disputes in coordination with Sales and Customer Service teams.

• Manage pre-litigation and litigation cases.

• Manage doubtful receivables and insolvency proceedings.

Management & reporting :

• Analyse Key Performance Indicators:

-DSO (Days Sales Outstanding)

-Overdue rate

• Implement corrective action plans in the event of KPI drift.

• Produce reports on a regular basis

• Participate in monthly closing activities for customer accounts

Cross-functional collaboration :

• Work closely with Sales and Accounting teams and Logistics/Customer Service teams.

• Organize regular meetings with Key Account Managers.

• Raise awareness among Sales teams of credit risk issues.

Continuous improvement :

• Contribute to optimizing credit and collection processes.

• Proactively suggest improvements to tools, particularly Sage X3 and BI tools.

• Participate in automation and data reliability projects.

Ideal profile :

Associate degree in Finance, Accounting, or Business School with a specialization in Financial Management.

Desired experience: 3 to 5 years in a similar role, ideally in an industrial and/or international environment.

• Proficiency in data analysis tools (MS Excel, MS Power BI).

• Proficiency in the accounting and financial management tool.

• Ability to analyze balance sheets and solvency indicators.

• Knowledge of customer risk analysis tools: Creditsafe, Euler Hermes

• Strong negotiation and customer relationship skills.
