Senior C++ & Impala Engineer at BairesDev

As a Senior C++ & Impala Engineer, you will drive the performance architecture and long-term optimization strategy for our distributed query engine. You will play a pivotal role in designing high-efficiency database internals and scaling complex analytical platforms to meet demanding enterprise workloads.

What You'll Do

• Establish the technical direction for performance architecture and optimization strategies across the organization.
• Design, build, and optimize low-latency database engines and distributed system components.
• Develop and refine database algorithms, index structures, and execution plans to maximize query performance.
• Collaborate with cross-functional engineering teams to integrate highly performant, custom database solutions.
• Diagnose and resolve complex bottlenecks related to data storage, resource allocation, and memory management.

What We Are Looking For

• 8+ years of experience in Software Engineering, Backend Development, or a related role.
• Proven expertise in C/C++ development and optimizing distributed systems performance.
• Hands-on experience working with Apache Impala or similar database engine technologies.
• Strong knowledge of DBMS algorithms, data structures, and database engine internals.
• Proven ability to set technical direction and lead performance architecture optimization strategies.
• Advanced proficiency in English.
