Senior Elixir & Observability Engineer at BairesDev

As a Senior Elixir & Observability Engineer, you will design, build, and optimize highly concurrent, scalable backend systems while ensuring complete visibility into application performance. You will play a vital role in establishing robust telemetry standards, allowing engineering teams to monitor, debug, and improve system health proactively.

What You'll Do

• Design and develop high-performance, fault-tolerant backend services and systems.
• Integrate advanced observability and distributed tracing frameworks across the entire technology stack.
• Instrument applications to capture critical metrics, logs, and traces for real-time monitoring.
• Collaborate with infrastructure and engineering teams to identify system bottlenecks and optimize performance.
• Establish best practices for application reliability, debugging, and production-level system health reporting.

What We Are Looking For

• 5+ years of experience in Software Engineering, Elixir Development, or a related field.
• Proven expertise with Elixir and Rust programming languages.
• Strong hands-on experience implementing OpenTelemetry for distributed tracing.
• Proficiency with observability platforms such as Datadog or New Relic.
• Advanced proficiency in English.
