Pay Range: $22.35-$27.86/hr + $1.25 Shift Differential

JOB DESCRIPTION:

• Performs quality control inspections, checks, and tests during the manufacture of products
• Inspects materials, parts and products at different stages of production
• Records observations and may make recommendations for improving processes

Activities:

The main activities of the position include but are not limited to the following:

• Oversee daily production activities and lot qualification testing as it relates to compliance with all quality requirements
• Coordinate/lead Non-Conforming Material (NMR) system
• Perform all receiving, in-process inspection, final inspection, first article conformance inspection, set up verifications and data acquisition verifications on a regular basis
• Generate nonconforming material reports, review and disposition non-conforming materials
• Participate as an active member of the material review board
• Generate rework procedures/instructions
• Assist in defining and implementing process controls that will enable process improvement through the reduction of process variability
• Primary role will be in the steel department with support of all metals related operations

Qualification Requirements:

• Requires a high school diploma or its equivalent and 4-6 years of related experience
• Familiar with standard concepts, practices, and procedures within the quality function
• Experience with Microsoft office applications, specifically Excel
• Relies on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals
• Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot and problem solve
• Ability to read Pi-Tape, Calipers, Depth Gauge, and a weight scale
• Able to pass a Drug Test **
• Acceptable outcome of a Background Check
