The Charge RN leads and coordinates patient care by assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating nursing practices in alignment with established standards. Serves as a clinical resource and supports high-quality patient outcomes.
3500 Unit Details
Bed Numbers: 26
Nurse to Patient Ratio: 4:1 possible 5:1
Patient Population: stepdown patients cardiac drips set rates, cardiac drips set rates, post procedural patients, cardioversions, bipap, airvo, chest tubes, post pacemakers BLS/ACLS/NIHSS common diagnosis of CHF, COPD, CKD
Qualifications
- Education: Graduate of an accredited nursing program (ADN, Diploma, or BSN)
- Licensure: Current RN license in the hiring state or compact state required
- Certifications:
- BLS (AHA) required within 30 days of hire
- Additional certifications may be required based on unit, including: ACLS, PALS, NRP, TNCC, ENPC, OCN, CPHON, PEARS, S.T.A.B.L.E., C-EFM, or other unit-specific credentials
- Ability to lift/push/pull up to 50 lbs
- Prolonged standing and walking
- Frequent bending, reaching, kneeling, twisting, and squatting
