Are you someone who looks at a spreadsheet full of financial data and immediately starts thinking about how to make it useful?
About The Role
This is a hands-on data and analytics role sitting within Finance, focused on one core question: how do we get the right insights in front of the right people, in a way they'll actually use?
You'll be building and maintaining PowerBI dashboards and reporting tools that serve a wide range of stakeholders from finance teams to commercial and operational leaders who think in outcomes, not data structures. That means understanding how non-financial people want to see information, not just how it should technically be presented.
What You'll Be Doing
- Building, validating and improving PowerBI dashboards and visualisations
- Translating business requirements into clear data and technical specifications
- Understanding and reconciling the different systems’ datasets and how these relate
- Gathering, cleansing and analysing financial data to surface meaningful insights
- Managing small projects end-to-end - from scoping through to go-live
- Identifying opportunities to improve data quality, structure and automation
- Building close working relationships with Finance and BI stakeholders
You'll need to present data clearly to a wide range of audiences, adapting how you communicate depending on who's in the room. An Operations Manager and a Finance Director need very different things from the same dataset, knowing how to bridge that gap is core to this role.
- Tertiary qualification in a data, finance, quantitative or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 3-4 years' experience in a data analytics, BI or finance analytics role
- Strong PowerBI skills - building, validating and maintaining dashboards
- Financial data literacy - comfortable working with finance data structures and metrics
- SAP or other ERP experience is a significant advantage
- Exposure to AI integration in reporting is a bonus
- Senior stakeholder exposure and commercial impact from day one
- Hybrid flexibility - Mascot-based, 3 days in office
- Projects that will genuinely build your capabilities
- Parental leave: 12 weeks for primary carers, 6 weeks for secondary carers
- Health and wellbeing support: BUPA discounts and an Employee Assistance Program
- Novated leasing and superannuation sessions
