Job Description

Credit and Fraud Risk (CFR) is a global function, responsible for making the right credit and fraud risk decisions that uphold operational excellence, drive growth, and accelerate innovation across American Express. CFR combines technology and infrastructure with new computing techniques to make better risk decisions and provide real-time customer communications and fraud servicing.

Responsibilities

Risk Manager will be responsible for leading credit risk acquisition strategies, managing acquisition performance in line with the risk appetite and the financial plan, whilst supporting the profitable growth of the organization.

• Credit Risk Framework: You have an expert understanding of developing best in class credit risk strategies and experience in profitability optimization.
• Credit Risk Management: You can define forward-looking credit risk reporting including critical insights, which will support senior leaders to make a strategic decision.
• Compliance Management: You have a good knowledge of the credit card regulatory environment and can support the team to achieve full compliance with applicable policy and regulations.
• Industry and Innovation: You have an in depth industry knowledge and continuously seek to innovate credit risk strategies.

Qualifications

• Proficient in English and German
• Minimum 8+ years of Credit Risk Management, Credit Modeling or Data Analytics in a Banking/Financial Service Industry
• Advanced degree in business, finance, statistics, economics, engineering or mathematics
• Extensive experience developing credit risk acquisition strategies and working with third party providers (credit bureau and others)
• Strong skills in SQL or Python
• Self-starter with strong problem-solving and communication skills and enjoys working in a cross functional environment
