About The Role

We are looking for a Senior Quality Engineer who combines strong Functional Testing expertise with hands-on Automation Testing experience. This is not a pure SDET role and not a pure Manual QA role. The ideal candidate should be comfortable validating business requirements, creating and executing test cases, performing manual regression testing, and developing automation solutions for web applications and APIs.

Key Responsibilities

• Analyze business requirements and create detailed test scenarios and test cases.
• Execute manual and exploratory testing to validate end-to-end business workflows.
• Perform functional, integration, system, and regression testing.
• Identify, document, track, and retest defects using defect management tools.
• Collaborate closely with Product Owners, Business Analysts, Developers, and other stakeholders.
• Design, develop, and maintain automation test scripts and frameworks.
• Automate UI and API test scenarios using industry-standard tools and frameworks.
• Execute automated test suites and analyze test results.
• Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines for continuous quality validation.
• Participate in Agile ceremonies including sprint planning, reviews, and retrospectives.
• Support release validation and production readiness testing.

Required Qualifications

• 5+ years of Software Testing experience with a strong mix of Manual and Automation Testing.
• Hands-on experience creating test cases and validating business workflows.
• Strong experience with Functional Testing, Regression Testing, UAT, and Defect Management.
• Automation experience using tools such as Selenium, Playwright, Cypress, or similar.
• API testing and automation experience using Postman, REST Assured, Karate, or equivalent tools.
• Experience building or maintaining automation frameworks.
• Experience with CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, GitHub Actions, Azure DevOps, or GitLab.
• Strong programming skills in Java, Python, C#, TypeScript, or JavaScript.
• Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments.

Compensation: - $70,000 to $105,000 + COLA and this position is also eligible for Cognizant’s discretionary annual incentive program, based on performance and subject to the terms of Cognizant’s applicable plans. Application will be accepted by 9/28/2026
