Automation Engineer

A large healthcare business is looking for an experienced engineer to join the team. This role focuses on designing and implementing comprehensive end-to-end testing strategies for medical software products across multiple technical stacks. The successful candidate will act as a quality advocate, integrating advanced automated testing practices and modern tools to ensure system stability and performance.

What you'll be doing

• Design and manage end-to-end test strategies including unit, integration, UI, stress, and performance testing.

• Build and scale CI pipelines and test harnesses for desktop, .NET, and web-based environments.

• Implement load and performance tests to identify bottlenecks and drive measurable quality improvements.

• Collaborate with architecture and product teams to embed shift-left engineering and test-driven practices.

• Utilize AI agents and tools to generate, maintain, and triage tests while building reusable automation workflows.

What we're looking for

• Extensive experience in multi-layered test automation and performance testing, ideally in regulated environments.

• Strong academic background in Computer Science, Mathematics, Physics, or a related technical field.

• Proficiency in programming languages such as C#, Java, Python, or TypeScript and experience with CI/CD tools.

• Proven experience integrating AI coding tools and agentic workflows into quality assurance processes.

• Professional fluency in both German and English with strong problem-solving skills and a proactive mindset.
