QA Software Engineer

A large healthcare software business is looking for a technical leader to join the team. This role involves driving quality excellence through modern automation strategies and the integration of artificial intelligence into the testing lifecycle. The successful candidate will guide a dedicated engineering team while remaining hands-on with framework design and CI/CD pipelines.

What you'll be doing

• Lead a technical quality team both functionally and administratively, defining automation strategies across unit, integration, and performance testing.

• Champion "shift-left" and "automation-first" methodologies within the development process alongside engineering and product management.

• Design scalable testing frameworks and CI/CD pipelines that adapt to increasing product complexity.

• Advance AI-native automation by implementing agents and specialized workflows for test generation, maintenance, and triage.

• Mentor engineers and contribute technical expertise to the wider internal quality assurance community.

What we're looking for

• Proven leadership experience in test automation with the ability to develop senior technical talent.

• Advanced degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related technical field.

• Strong programming skills in languages such as C#, Java, Python, or TypeScript, alongside experience in CI/CD and performance testing.

• Demonstrated experience using AI agents and tools to enhance QA workflows and design automated pipelines.

• Fluency in both German and English with excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
