About The Role

Risk at Revolut operates across all functions, products, and regions to monitor front-line performance and ensure the business operates safely. They’re among the first to be involved in new initiatives, from tech to customer support.

We’re looking for a Financial Risk Manager to identify, quantify, and manage financial risk for crypto activities. You’ll be joining the second line of defence to ensure first-line departments properly manage risks and controls while independently assessing risk-taking activities.

What You'll Be Doing

• Setting standards for managing capital, market, credit, and liquidity risk, including risk appetite and balance sheet management
• Defining responses to financial risk regulation changes and funding plan requirements
• Developing and maintaining financial risk policies, stress testing, analytics, and reporting systems
• Engaging and challenging first-line businesses to identify, monitor, and govern emerging financial risks, including under new product risk assessments
• Modelling financial risks under various stress scenarios with appropriate assumptions and calibrations
• Monitoring financial risk exposures against internal limits, key risk indicators, and regulatory limits
• Investigating financial risk events, producing related management information reports, and escalating breaches to the appropriate committee
• Maintaining risk register entries for financial risks
• Building relationships with senior stakeholders to support risk governance and challenge emerging risks
• Contributing to fraud risk oversight, safeguarding of client assets, and internal capital adequacy assessments

What You'll Need

• 4+ years of experience in financial risk management or management consulting
• A degree in STEM or finance
• Knowledge of risk-related regulations and their application in the financial industry
• Experience in hands-on implementation of stress-testing methodologies
• The ability to understand financial models
• A solid grasp of market, liquidity, and credit risk measures
• An analytical mindset to break down complex problems and work with data
• Autonomy in decision-making and driving change with sound judgement
• Excellent interpersonal skills

Nice to have

• Familiarity with SQL or another scripting language
