Job Responsibilities:
- Review drawings and quantity take-offs received from the Engineering Department, according to the relevant discipline.
- Ensure that the technical specifications stated in the contract are in accordance with the execution requirements on site, according to the relevant discipline.
- Participate in identifying the required manpower needs according to the relevant discipline.
- Assist in determining the actual project cost based on quantities and specifications.
- Ensure that all works are executed in accordance with the required technical specifications and the relevant discipline.
- Coordinate with the project’s consultant engineers to inspect and approve all works completed by the contractor in accordance with the specified technical requirements upon completion of each stage, under the supervision of the Project Manager.
- Review the technical specifications of samples and catalogs submitted by the contractor.
- Review the monthly payment certificates submitted by subcontractors.
- Submit monthly reports to the Project Manager covering work progress and completed activities within the relevant discipline.
- Participate in the initial inspection and handover of completed project works as a member of the handover committee.
- Participate in handing over the project to the Operations Department within the specified timeframe.
- Supervise and follow up with the supporting project team.
Job Requirements:
Educational Qualifications and Previous Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering, relevant to the required discipline.
- Minimum of 3 years of relevant experience in the same field for the Engineer position.
Technical Knowledge and Skills:
- Ability to supervise and follow up on work activities.
- Ability to handle multiple tasks and prioritize effectively.
- Strong analytical thinking and effective problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work under pressure.
- Accuracy and strong attention to detail.
- Negotiation skills.
- Good knowledge of occupational health and safety regulations.
- Good computer skills, including MS Word, MS Excel, MS Outlook, Internet, AutoCAD, and MS Project.
