We are looking for a Senior Quality Assurance Engineer who will be responsible for supporting and improving product and manufacturing quality across the organization. This role serves as a key technical bridge between Engineering, Manufacturing, Supply Chain, and Quality Assurance, providing engineering judgement and quality expertise to resolve complex product and process issues. The Senior Quality Assurance Engineer will participate in the Materials Review Board (MRB) and be responsible for evaluating non-conforming materials, components, and finished products to determine appropriate disposition, including whether material can be accepted for use, reworked, repaired, returned to the supplier, or rejected. Combine strong technical knowledge with practical manufacturing judgment to ensure that quality decisions are properly documented and aligned with customer, company and regulatory requirements.


Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Lead and participate in Materials Review Board (MRB) activities, including the review and disposition of non-conforming materials, components, and products.
  • Evaluate deviations from engineering drawings, specifications, GD&T, specifications, BOMs, and technical requirements based on quality, functionality, reliability, safety and risk.
  • Collaborate with Engineering, Manufacturing, Supply Chain, and QA to resolve complex quality and technical issues.
  • Investigate incoming material, supplier, and manufacturing quality issues and recommend practical solutions.
  • Lead or support root causes analysis, corrective actions, and preventive actions for significant or recurring quality issues.
  • Provide Quality input for new product development, design changes, process changes, and supplier selection.
  • Ensure products and manufacturing processes comply with company requirements, customer specifications, industry standards, and regulatory requirements.
  • Support internal and external audits and provide technical documentation and evidence as required.
  • Analyze quality trends and drive continuous improvement initiatives to reduce defects, improve processes, and enhance overall product quality.


Qualification and skills:

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Quality Engineering, or a related discipline.
  • 5+ years of experience in Quality Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
  • Strong ability to interpret complex mechanical drawings, specifications, and GD&T.
  • Experience working with non-conforming material and MRB processes.
  • Strong understanding of manufacturing processes, inspection methods, and quality control principles.
  • Experience performing root cause analysis and implementing corrective actions.
  • Familiarity with ISO 9001 quality management systems and applicable industry standards.
  • Strong understanding of engineering specifications, tolerances, and acceptance criteria.
  • Ability to make sound technical decisions based on engineering requirements, risk, and practical manufacturing considerations.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities.


Additional Preferred Skills:

  • Experience in machine vision, optics, electronics, precision manufacturing, or industrial automation.
  • Formal training or certification in ASQ Certified Quality Engineer (CQE), Six Sigma, or similar.
  • Experience with GD&T certification/training, ERP/MRP, JIRA and quality management systems.
  • Demonstrated ability to identify, develop, and implement best practices using lean principles.
