Quality Officer - Pediatric Hematology - Oncology & BMT Division Cleveland Clinic

The Women & Children's Institute (WCI) at Cleveland Clinic is seeking an accomplished physician leader to serve as Quality Officer for the Pediatric Hematology Oncology & BMT Division. This is an impactful leadership opportunity for a physician with a passion for advancing high-quality, safe, family-centered care for children and adolescents with hematologic and oncologic conditions. Pediatric hematology-oncology & BMT division include full Hematology/Oncology services along with FACT accredited Blood and Marrow Transplantation. The program is part of many collaborative groups including but not limited to COG, NEXT consortium, NAPAAC, NICER consortium, Sunrise consortium, Beat Childhood Cancer consortium and Sickle Cell Disease Alliance.

The PHO Quality Officer will partner closely with physician leaders, advanced practice providers, nursing, operations, and enterprise stakeholders to drive excellence in quality, safety, and patient outcomes across the division. This critical leadership role aligns clinical excellence with enterprise quality priorities while fostering a culture of continuous improvement, safety, and high reliability.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide physician leadership for all Pediatric Hematology Oncology quality initiatives, ensuring alignment with enterprise quality, safety, and regulatory goals.
• Lead continuous improvement efforts across key clinical, patient safety and experience.
• Partner with Nursing, Operations, Infection Prevention, Regulatory Affairs, Quality and Patient Safety, and Continuous Improvement teams to ensure coordinated goal setting, measurement, and execution.
• Promote the use of data analytics, quality dashboards, benchmarking, and evidence-based practices to drive measurable and sustainable improvement.
• Foster a culture of accountability, transparency, learning, and continuous improvement.
• Serve as a champion for patient- and family-centered care throughout the PHO Division.

Qualifications

Required

• MD or DO, board certified in Pediatric Hematology Oncology
• Minimum of 3 years of post-fellowship clinical practice experience, with demonstrated excellence in patient care.
• Demonstrated success leading multidisciplinary teams and driving quality improvement initiatives.
• Experience designing, implementing, and sustaining quality, safety, or performance improvement programs.
• Demonstrated knowledge of high reliability principles, patient safety science, quality improvement methodologies, and regulatory standards.
• Strong leadership, communication, collaboration, and change management skills.

The candidate should be at the Assistant, Associate or equivalent level with strong clinical and clinical research interests in pediatric oncology, with an interest in sarcomas and other solid tumors. The candidate must be board-certified in pediatric hematology/oncology. A faculty appointment at a rank commensurate with academic accomplishments is expected at the Cleveland Clinic Lerner College of Medicine of Case Western Reserve University. The salary range displayed in this job posting reflects the anticipated salary range for new physicians hired into full-time (100% FTE) positions. This range is generally aligned with or below the 50th percentile of nationally recognized compensation benchmarks by specialty. A successful candidate's actual compensation will be determined in accordance with fair market value, considering factors such as professional experience, clinical expertise, board certification, work history, and FTE. This stated range excludes the value of Cleveland Clinic's comprehensive benefits package, which includes healthcare, dental, vision, retirement, and other offerings.

Pay Range

Minimum salary: $277,750

Maximum salary: $349,500
