Cardiovascular Technician II

Job Duties:
- Performs 12-lead Electrocardiograms, Holter Monitor Hook-Ups and Cardiac Stress Testing, including 24 hour, 48 hour, and 30 day event monitors, and/or EEG testing.
- Ability to travel throughout the hospital system and travel to other locations.
- Notifies physicians, nurses or manager of abnormal results.
- Notifies secretaries of needed supplies.
- Maintains equipment and notifies Clinical Engineering of on going problems that can not be resolved.
- High School Graduate or GED.
- Completion of a Cardiac Technician and/or EEG program preferred.
- Credentials as an Allied Health Professional preferred
- Basic Life Support (BLS) through American Heart Association (AHA) or American Red Cross is required
- Within scope of job, requires critical thinking skills, decisive judgment and the ability to work with minimal supervision.
- Must be able to work in a stressful environment.
- Minimum six months experience as an ECG tech and six months experience in Stress Testing preferred.
- Hand dexterity sufficient to handle ECG equipment and Holter monitors.
- Standing and walking for extended periods of time.
- May be required to lift up the 25 pounds.
- Follows standard precautions using personal protective equipment as required.
Maximum hourly: $23.61
