Key Responsibilities
- Supervise and coordinate the daily activities of Quality Supervisors, Dyno Technicians, Quality Auditors, and Gage technicians across multiple shifts and departments.
- Develop and implement inspection procedures, work instructions, and quality standards for incoming materials, in-process components, pass through features and finished products.
- Ensure compliance with ISO 9001 and other relevant quality and safety standards.
- Perform audits of inspection processes, work cells, and documentation to verify adherence to specifications and quality plans.
- Collaborate with engineering and production teams to identify root causes of defects and drive corrective and preventive actions.
- Monitor and analyze key quality metrics to identify trends and improvement opportunities.
- Train and mentor inspection staff on proper measurement techniques, GD&T interpretation, and use of inspection equipment (CMMs, calipers, micrometers, gauges, etc.).
- Participate in customer and third-party audits as a quality representative.
- Ensure accurate and timely documentation of inspection results, nonconformances, and quality reports.
- Bachelor's degree in engineering, Quality, or STEM related field
- Minimum 5 years of experience in quality inspection within a manufacturing environment, with at least 2 years in a supervisory or leadership role.
- Strong knowledge of manufacturing components, machining processes, and inspection methods.
- Proficient in reading and interpreting blueprints, GD&T, and technical specifications.
- Experience with quality systems, tools, and methodologies such as SPC, FMEA, and root cause analysis.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
- Ability to work cross-functionally and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced production environment.
- Prior experience in manufacturing or automotive/aerospace industries.
- Proficiency with CMM programming and advanced metrology tools.
