This is a unique opportunity to work at the intersection of AI development and cybersecurity on a high-impact enterprise security capability. In this role, you will build and operate an innovative LLM-based code vulnerability detection platform that combines artificial intelligence, cloud engineering, and application security to transform how software vulnerabilities are identified and addressed. You will have hands-on ownership across the entire technology stack, including AWS Bedrock, Terraform, CI/CD pipelines, containerized workloads, and security telemetry systems. This position offers the opportunity to evolve the platform from initial build through production operations, making a meaningful impact on the organization's security posture.
Responsibilities:
- Build and operate an LLM-based code vulnerability detection capability using AWS Bedrock, including prompt and agent design, model invocation, token and cost controls, and result normalization
- Develop comprehensive evaluation frameworks and regression testing capabilities to measure scanner quality, detection performance, and track changes over time
- Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines integrated with GitHub and Jenkins, deployed through ECS and provisioned using Terraform
- Deliver security findings and operational telemetry into Splunk while supporting ongoing platform enhancements, patching, and defect resolution
- Provide support for 24/7 operational coverage to ensure platform reliability and availability
The ideal candidate
- 4+ years of professional engineering experience with hands-on information security or software development experience
- Hands-on experience with AWS Bedrock or equivalent hosted LLM platforms, including model selection, inference optimization, and guardrail configuration
- Strong Terraform and Infrastructure as Code experience, including developing and maintaining Terraform modules
- Experience building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines, preferably Jenkins integrated with GitHub
- Working knowledge of application security concepts, common vulnerability classes, and SAST/SCA tooling
- Experience with AWS services such as IAM and ECS, containerized workloads, Linux, RESTful APIs, or event-driven architectures
- Strong communication and consulting skills with the ability to collaborate effectively with technical teams, business stakeholders, Principal Engineers, and Product Owners
- Experience in regulated financial services environments is a plus
- Security certifications are a plus
Reasons to love it
- Work at the cutting edge of AI and cybersecurity, building an LLM-powered security scanning capability from the ground up
- Gain hands-on experience across a comprehensive technology stack including AWS Bedrock, agentic AI, Terraform, CI/CD, ECS, GitHub, Jenkins, and Splunk
- Own meaningful engineering work spanning initial platform development, evaluation, deployment, and long-term operational improvements
- Help shape an innovative security product that can improve vulnerability detection across the software development lifecycle
- Contribute to enterprise-level security initiatives within the financial services industry
