Job Responsibilities
- Serves as backup NOC operations capability providing redundancy for centralized NOC functions
- Monitors assigned network infrastructure and systems from remote locations
- Coordinates with primary NOC personnel ensuring seamless handoff of monitoring and management
- Provides NOC management decision-making support during primary NOC disruptions or contingency
- Performs network monitoring, incident response, and troubleshooting activities independently
- Maintains proficiency with all NOC tools, processes, and procedures
- Supports distributed operations model enabling resilient network management during crisis or disaster
- Coordinates with on-site base personnel for localized network issues
- Ensures continuous network monitoring coverage and operational awareness
- Participates in NOC training and readiness activities
- Maintains secure communications and coordination channels with primary NOC
- Possesses Bachelor's degree in information technology, network engineering, or related field
- Minimum 5 years of Network Operations Center or Network Administration experience
- Cisco CCNA requred
- CompTIA Security+ required
- DoD Secret security clearance required
