Job Description
Position Summary
MUFG is seeking an experienced and innovative leader to build and mature a next-generation Insider Threat Detection & Response program focused on proactive threat discovery through artificial intelligence, behavioral analytics, and advanced detection engineering. This role is responsible for identifying, investigating, and mitigating insider risks before they become security incidents and for leveraging AI-driven approaches to uncover malicious, negligent, and compromised-user activity across the enterprise.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Security or a related discipline (or equivalent experience). 5+ years of cybersecurity experience in Insider Threat, Threat Detection, Threat Hunting, SOC, or Incident Response. One or more cybersecurity certifications.
- 5+ years leading security teams and enterprise-scale detection programs. Experience designing and operationalizing Insider Threat capabilities within large organizations and communicating effectively with technical and executive audiences.
- Deep expertise in Insider Threat, Insider Risk Management, UEBA, detection engineering, threat hunting, security analytics, DLP, identity and access management, and enterprise investigation methodologies.
- Strong understanding of AI, machine learning, anomaly detection, behavioral analytics, LLMs, AI agents, RAG architectures, and automated investigation workflows. Ability to translate AI capabilities into measurable security outcomes.
- Microsoft Defender, Microsoft Purview Insider Risk Management, SIEM and UEBA platforms, Data Loss Prevention (DLP), cloud security technologies, and working knowledge of Python or similar analytics languages.

- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a closely-related discipline, or an equivalent combination of formal education and experience
- New York / New Jersey: $103k-168k
- Non–New York / New Jersey: $103k-150k
