About The Job
For an EU Agency based in Warsaw, we are looking for an experienced Cybersecurity Architect to join a high-impact cybersecurity programme and contribute to the design, governance, and evolution of secure enterprise architectures. The successful candidate will play a key role in defining security architectures, ensuring compliance with security standards and regulations, and embedding security and privacy-by-design principles across complex ICT environments.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and propose secure architecture solutions aligned with business and security objectives.
- Develop cybersecurity architecture frameworks, blueprints, and technical specifications.
- Perform security architecture reviews, cybersecurity assessments, and risk analyses.
- Ensure security and privacy requirements are integrated throughout the solution lifecycle.
- Evaluate, recommend, and validate cybersecurity technologies, controls, and solutions.
- Lead Proof of Concepts (PoCs) and assess emerging security technologies.
- Collaborate with architects, developers, security teams, and business stakeholders to implement security best practices.
- Support the integration, deployment, and transition of security solutions into operational environments.
- Contribute to the definition and evolution of the organisation's security architecture.
- Monitor cybersecurity trends, threats, and vulnerabilities, recommending improvements and innovations.
- Ensure compliance with applicable cybersecurity standards, policies, and regulatory requirements.
- Master's degree or equivalent (EQF Level 7).
- Minimum 10 years of relevant IT experience.
- Minimum 8 years of experience as a Cybersecurity Architect or in a similar senior security role.
- Valid EU RESTRICTED (RESTREINT UE/EU RESTRICTED) Security Clearance from the first day of assignment.
- English proficiency at C1 level or higher.
- Strong knowledge of:
- Cybersecurity frameworks, standards, and methodologies.
- Security architecture principles and reference models.
- Secure Software Development Lifecycle (SSDLC).
- Risk management and risk assessment.
- Security technologies, controls, and solutions.
- Data protection and Privacy-Enhancing Technologies (PETs).
- Security governance, compliance, and regulatory requirements.
- Cyber threats, vulnerabilities, and emerging security trends.
- Ability to translate business requirements into secure architectural solutions and communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- At least four internationally recognised cybersecurity certifications, such as:
CISM
CISA
CRISC
CGEIT
CISSP-ISSAP
TOGAF Foundation or TOGAF Certified
SABSA certifications
CNDA
GIAC certifications
Equivalent internationally recognised certifications
Desired Assets
- Experience designing enterprise-scale security architectures in complex environments.
- Experience with security-by-design and privacy-by-design approaches.
- Experience evaluating and integrating new cybersecurity technologies.
- Strong analytical, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
- Experience working within European institutions, agencies, or international organisations is considered an advantage.
