Role Description: The SOC Operator is a full-time, on-site role based in Santiago, Chile. This role is responsible for monitoring security systems and dashboards, identifying anomalies, and escalating potential security incidents in line with established procedures. Day-to-day tasks include reviewing alerts from various security tools, performing initial triage, documenting events, and supporting incident response activities under the guidance of senior team members. The SOC Operator will collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to report findings, maintain accurate logs, and contribute to the continuous improvement of SOC processes. The role also involves following strict operational protocols, participating in shift coverage, and supporting the implementation of new tools and playbooks to enhance Griffin Risk’s security operations.
Qualifications
- Strong analytical and monitoring skills to identify, assess, and prioritize security events within a Security SOC environment.
- Knowledge of security and cybersecurity fundamentals, including common threats, vulnerabilities, and incident response principles.
- Ability to follow documented procedures, maintain detailed records, and support structured reporting and escalation workflows.
- Effective communication skills for clear, concise interaction with team members, management, and clients.
- Comfortable working in an on-site, shift-based operational environment with attention to reliability and punctuality.
- Familiarity with security tools and technologies is an advantage.
- Relevant education or certifications in security, IT, or related fields (e.g., computer science, information security, CompTIA Security+) are beneficial.
- Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively, maintain confidentiality, and uphold high ethical and professional standards.
- English advanced is a must
