Security Engineer (Application) at BairesDev

As a Security Engineer specializing in Application Security, you will be responsible for safeguarding our software at the application layer. You will integrate security deeply into the development lifecycle, ensuring that robust defenses are a core component of our products from the initial design to final deployment.

What You'll Do

• Conduct comprehensive threat modeling sessions to identify and mitigate architectural risks early in the design phase.
• Perform rigorous secure code reviews to detect logic flaws and ensure adherence to security best practices.
• Execute and manage automated security testing workflows using SAST and DAST tools to maintain a secure SDLC.
• Partner with development teams to prioritize and remediate vulnerabilities based on the OWASP Top 10 and other security standards.
• Develop and implement automated security validation tests to streamline the identification of security weaknesses.
• Drive the adoption of security-first coding patterns and provide technical guidance to enhance the overall security posture of our applications

What We Are Looking For

• 4+ years of experience in Application Security, Cybersecurity, or Software Engineering.
• Proven expertise in performing threat modeling and secure code reviews based on the OWASP Top 10.
• Hands-on experience with SAST and DAST tools such as Semgrep, SonarQube, Snyk, and OWASP ZAP.
• Deep understanding of integrating security controls and best practices throughout the secure SDLC.
• Advanced proficiency in English.
