POSITION SUMMARY

The IT Systems & Cybersecurity Administrator manages FAM and 39 IT infrastructure, cybersecurity, systems, and technology assets to ensure secure, reliable, and efficient operations. This position oversees network and firewall security, Microsoft 365/Azure AD, databases, backups, software licensing, user accounts, hardware, CRM and point-of-sale systems. The IT Systems & Cybersecurity Administrator provides technical support, troubleshooting, and onboarding assistance for staff while maintaining system security, confidentiality, and compliance.

The IT Systems & Cybersecurity Administrator also supports museum events, digital exhibits, and other public-facing technology needs while identifying and implementing solutions that improve efficiency and reduce risk. The IT Systems & Cybersecurity Administrator maintains IT documentation, inventories, and disaster recovery procedures; trains staff on technology and cybersecurity best practices; and stays current with emerging technologies and security standards while also providing after-hours support for emergencies and special events as needed.



DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Manage, build and maintain FAM's technology infrastructure, ensuring reliable, secure, and efficient operations across all departments
  • Monitor, configure, and maintain cybersecurity measures, including firewalls, endpoint protection, multi-factor authentication, and security best practices
  • Manage firewall configuration, monitoring, updates, and security policies to protect organizational data and systems
  • Oversee software licensing, renewals, vendor relationships, and compliance to ensure proper asset management and cost efficiency
  • Serve as the primary database administrator for organizational systems, maintaining data integrity, backups, security, and performance
  • Provide technical support to FAM/39 Enterprises staff, troubleshooting hardware, software, printers, scanners, mobile devices, and peripheral equipment
  • Install, configure, maintain, and upgrade desktop computers, laptops, office-desk phones, operating systems, and software
  • Support Customer Relationship Management (CRM) systems, by assisting museum staff with troubleshooting, reporting, integrations, and data management. Experience with HubSpot, Roller, Planning Pod, or similar preferred
  • Support merchant services and point-of-sale systems, including payment processing, hardware, and connectivity issues. Experience with Shopify, Toast, or similar preferred.
  • Coordinate system backups, disaster recovery planning, and business continuity procedures
  • Coordinate the technology side of new employee onboarding, including guiding the purchasing of hardware and software, initiating account and software access, creating new employees’ email addresses, adding new employees into the correct email group, and security compliance
  • Attend onboarding meetings, as needed, to provide IT support regarding email addresses, various app access, and IT equipment functionality
  • Manage user accounts, permissions, email systems, email lists, and identity management following security best practices - Azure AD / M365 based
  • Document IT procedures, network architecture, system configurations, and technology inventory
  • Coordinate with third-party vendors and service providers for software implementation, maintenance, and technical support
  • Research, recommend, and implement technology solutions that improve operational efficiency and support FAM's mission
  • Provide technical support for internal museum events, presentations, digital exhibits, and public-facing technology when needed
  • Monitor system performance and proactively identify opportunities for upgrades, improvements, and risk mitigation
  • Maintain relevant cybersecurity certifications and stay current on emerging threats, compliance requirements, and industry standards
  • Train staff on cybersecurity awareness, technology best practices, and new systems
  • Maintain an inventory of technology assets, warranties, licenses, and replacement schedules
  • On-call for after-hour emergencies and events, as needed
  • Perform other IT and cybersecurity related duties as assigned


PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Cybersecurity, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience
  • Ability to think fast, troubleshoot calmly and systematically

· At least 3-5 years of experience working in the Informational Technology and cybersecurity field

  • Industry certifications such as Security+, CISSP, CCNA, Azure, M365, Microsoft, or equivalent cybersecurity credentials
  • Experience managing firewalls, network infrastructure, Windows environments, databases, and cloud services
  • Experience supporting CRM platforms, merchant/payment systems, and enterprise software applications
  • Strong troubleshooting, communication, and customer service skills with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical users
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities while maintaining a high level of security, confidentiality, and professionalism
