Medical Billing Team Lead

Raventra Health is a medical services company providing outsourced billing, coding, and claims processing solutions for provider groups and hospitals. As a Medical Billing Team Lead, you will support the day-to-day performance of Raventra Health’s billing team and help ensure client accounts are processed accurately and efficiently. You will coordinate workloads, monitor quality and productivity, provide guidance to billing specialists, and help resolve complex billing issues. ## What You Will Do - Coordinate daily workloads and priorities across the medical billing team - Monitor billing productivity, accuracy, claim submission, and turnaround-time metrics - Review billing work and provide feedback to ensure client and company standards are met - Support team members with complex billing issues, payer requirements, and claim corrections - Coordinate with coding, claims, payment posting, denials, and AR teams to resolve issues - Identify recurring billing errors and recommend process improvements - Assist with onboarding, training, and ongoing coaching for billing team members - Maintain and update billing procedures, guidelines, and process documentation - Escalate significant client or operational issues to the Billing Operations Manager - Prepare team performance updates and communicate key issues, trends, and priorities to management ## What We Are Looking for - 2+ years of experience in medical billing or healthcare revenue cycle management - Experience providing guidance, mentoring, or day-to-day leadership to billing staff - Strong understanding of healthcare billing, claim submission, payer requirements, and reimbursement processes - Experience working with CMS-1500 and UB-04 claim forms - Strong knowledge of billing workflows and common claim and payment issues - Ability to review work for accuracy and provide clear, constructive feedback - Strong organizational and communication skills - Ability to prioritize workloads and support a team in a remote environment - Ability to work independently and handle escalated billing issues - HIPAA-compliant private workspace ## Nice to Have - CPB, CPC, or another relevant healthcare revenue cycle certification - Experience with Epic, Athena, eClinicalWorks, or another major billing or practice management system - Experience working with multiple payer types - Denials, appeals, payment posting, or AR follow-up experience - Experience working with provider groups or hospitals - Previous experience in outsourced RCM or multi-client healthcare operations ## Compensation and Benefits Compensation will be discussed during the interview and will reflect the candidate’s experience, qualifications, certifications, and relevant healthcare revenue cycle expertise.
