Advantari is licensed by Bahrain’s Personal Data Protection Authority (PDPA) to provide External Data Protection Guardian (DPG) services.

We are looking for a Data Protection Officer to support our clients with Bahrain PDPL implementation and the delivery of External DPG services.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct Bahrain PDPL gap assessments and support end-to-end compliance implementation.
• Perform data mapping, processing reviews, DPIAs, and compliance assessments.
• Develop and maintain privacy policies, procedures, notices, consent mechanisms, and processing registers.
• Support Data Subject Rights, personal data breach management, and PDPA notifications/authorizations.
• Review cross-border data transfers, Data Processors, and third-party agreements.
• Support the delivery of External DPG services, including compliance monitoring, client advisory, and liaison with the PDPA.
• Review technical and organizational measures relating to personal data protection.
• Deliver PDPL awareness and training to client teams.

Requirements

• Must currently reside in Bahrain.
• Fluent in both Arabic and English, written and spoken.
• CIPM certification is required.
• Successful completion of BIBF Professional Program for Data Protection Officers (DPOs) is required.
• Experience in Data Protection, Privacy, Cybersecurity, Information Security, Risk, or Compliance.
• Strong working knowledge of the Bahrain Personal Data Protection Law (PDPL) and its implementing Orders.
