We’re Hiring in Bahrain: Compliance Officer - Cybersecurity GRC & vCISO

ZENDATA Cyber Security is expanding its team in Bahrain, and we are looking for an experienced and ambitious Compliance Officer to join our growing international cybersecurity practice.

This is not a traditional compliance role. You will work at the intersection of cybersecurity, governance, risk, compliance, and executive advisory, supporting organizations across Bahrain, the GCC, and ZENDATA’s international markets.

You will have the opportunity to work directly with CISOs, CIOs, risk teams, executive management, and technical cybersecurity specialists to help organizations move beyond “check-the-box” compliance and build practical, sustainable and resilient cybersecurity programs.

What you will be doing

As part of ZENDATA’s GRC and vCISO practice, you will:

• Support and lead cybersecurity vCISO and GRC engagements for clients in Bahrain, the GCC and internationally

• Assess cybersecurity maturity, governance structures, policies, controls and risk exposure

• Translate regulatory requirements and technical findings into clear and actionable cybersecurity roadmaps

• Advise clients on cybersecurity governance, risk management and regulatory compliance

• Support the implementation of international and regional cybersecurity frameworks and standards

• Develop cybersecurity strategies, policies, risk registers, governance frameworks and executive-level reports

• Work closely with ZENDATA’s SOC, penetration testing, incident response, threat intelligence and cybersecurity architecture teams

• Participate in client workshops, steering committees, risk reviews and executive presentations

• Coordinate with project managers to ensure engagements are delivered successfully and to a high standard

• Contribute to the development of ZENDATA’s global vCISO and cybersecurity compliance practice

• Support proposals, client presentations and strategic cybersecurity advisory engagements

Who we are looking for

We are looking for someone with a strong combination of cybersecurity knowledge, compliance expertise, business understanding and communication skills.

You should have:

✅ A minimum of 3–5 years of professional experience in cybersecurity governance, risk, compliance, information security or related areas

✅ Experience with cybersecurity frameworks, standards and regulatory requirements

✅ Strong understanding of cybersecurity risk, not only compliance documentation

✅ Ability to communicate confidently with technical teams and senior management

✅ Strong analytical, reporting and presentation skills

✅ Ability to manage several engagements and priorities simultaneously

✅ A pragmatic, solution-oriented mindset

✅ Excellent professional English communication skills

Experience with frameworks and standards such as ISO 27001, NIST, PCI DSS, CIS Controls, data protection regulations, cloud governance, cybersecurity regulations or regional GCC regulatory frameworks will be highly valued.

Relevant certifications in cybersecurity, GRC, risk management, audit or information security are an advantage.
