Cybersecurity Engineer

Beyond technical defense, you will participate in incident response, lead system audits, mentor team members, and assist leadership with vendor selection and security budgeting.
Responsibilities
- Engineer, configure, and maintain firewalls, VPNs, and Network Access Control (NAC) platforms.
- Play a key role in SOC operations, security awareness (SETA) programs, and incident response (CIRT).
- Perform vulnerability assessments, threat monitoring, and policy compliance tracking.
- Lead complex infrastructure projects and provide technical guidance to peer IT teams.
- Assist IT leadership with vendor evaluations, hardware/software procurement, and budget tracking.
- Handle hands-on racking, cabling, and hardware maintenance as needed.
- 6+ years focused specifically on network infrastructure and security.
- Hands-on expertise with enterprise Firewalls, Remote Access, and NAC systems.
- Strong background with SIEM platforms, threat monitoring tools, and network authentication.
- Working knowledge of Windows and Linux environments.
- Deep understanding of data encryption, vulnerability scanners, and threat vectors.
- Ability to participate in off-hours incident response and emergency troubleshooting.
- Bachelor's degree.
- Experience with Palo Alto/Check Point firewalls or Cisco security appliances.
- Exposure to platforms like Forescout, LogRhythm, ExtraHop, or RSA authentication.
- Direct-hire role in the North Metro Atlanta area (hybrid: 1 day remote weekly post-training).
