Security Engineering Lead

Role Purpose: Lead the Group's security engineering capability and provide technical leadership across application, cloud, network, systems and DevSecOps security.

Key Responsibilities:

• Define and implement the Group security engineering strategy, architecture and technical standards.
  
• Lead security-by-design across technology projects, platforms and infrastructure.
  
• Oversee DevSecOps, Application Security, Cloud Security, Network Security and Systems Security activities.
  
• Drive integration and effective use of security technologies and security automation.
  
• Provide security architecture reviews for new and existing technology solutions.
  
• Partner with Technology, Engineering and Infrastructure teams to remediate security risks.
  
• Establish engineering metrics, technical standards and continuous improvement initiatives.
  
• Provide technical input into cybersecurity projects, third-party solutions and security assessments.

Requirements

• Relevant degree or equivalent professional qualification in Cybersecurity, Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering or a related discipline.
  
• Relevant professional certifications will be an advantage and should align with the specific role.
  
• Demonstrable practical experience relevant to the position.
  
• Strong communication, analytical, documentation and stakeholder-management skills.
  
• Ability to operate in a regulated, technology-driven and multi-business environment.

Preferred/Added Advantage Certifications

• CISSP or CISM
  
• CCSP
  
• SABSA or TOGAF (advantage)
