What Does the Network and Information Security Team Member Do at Farplas?

• Contributes to the operation and management of LAN, WAN, and wireless network infrastructures,
• Manages switching and routing infrastructures and performs troubleshooting activities,
• Carries out the operational management of firewall infrastructures and implements firewall rule requests,
• Supports the management of VPN, remote access, and network access infrastructures,
• Monitors network performance and availability,
• Monitors network monitoring systems and analyzes identified issues,
• Resolves network-related Layer 2 and Layer 3 issues,
• Analyzes performance, capacity, and availability issues within the network infrastructure,
• Supports the operational processes of EDR, XDR, DLP, and similar endpoint security solutions,
• Contributes to monitoring and analyzing events generated through SIEM and other security monitoring systems,
• Participates in remediation activities for security vulnerabilities and the implementation of security controls,
• Contributes to ensuring that network and security devices are operated securely, kept up to date, and maintained in line with vendor recommendations,
• Supports the implementation of information security and automotive industry compliance requirements, including ISO 27001 and TISAX,
• Collaborates with relevant teams in the analysis, response, and follow-up of information security incidents,
• Supports network and security operations across Farplas locations in Türkiye and abroad,
• Maintains up-to-date documentation and inventories for network and security infrastructures,
• Takes part in infrastructure and information security projects,
• Contributes to the evaluation, implementation, and improvement of new network and security technologies.

What Are the Requirements for a Network and Information Security Team Member at Farplas?

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Engineering, Electrical and Electronics Engineering, Electronics Engineering, Information Systems, or a related field,
• Hands-on experience in network and/or information security,
• Good knowledge of TCP/IP, switching, and routing,
• Experience with LAN, WAN, and wireless technologies,
• Experience in firewall management and troubleshooting,
• Knowledge of VPN and remote access technologies,
• Experience using network monitoring tools,
• Knowledge of EDR, XDR, DLP, and similar security solutions,
• Basic to intermediate experience in SIEM and security event monitoring,
• Good understanding of network and system security principles,
• Preferably experienced in the automotive and/or manufacturing industries,
• Basic knowledge of security vulnerabilities, vulnerability management, and security controls,
• Knowledge of ISO 27001; experience with TISAX is preferred,
• Strong problem-solving and root-cause analysis skills,
• Proficiency in English sufficient to read and understand technical documentation,
• Strong analytical thinking and research skills,
• Proactive, accountable, and results- and solution-oriented,
• A collaborative team player who can work effectively with different IT teams,
• Able to prioritize effectively in a fast-paced operational environment,
• Residing in or willing to relocate to Istanbul’s Anatolian Side or the Kocaeli region.
