Cloud Security & ServiceNow Integration Engineer

Job Overview

We are looking for a Cloud Security & ServiceNow Integration Engineer to design, implement, secure, and maintain integrations between ServiceNow and cloud, security, IT operations, and enterprise systems.

The successful candidate will combine strong cloud security, ServiceNow, API integration, automation, and troubleshooting skills to build reliable and secure workflows. The role will work closely with IT, cybersecurity, infrastructure, application, and business teams to automate processes and improve enterprise security operations.

ServiceNow supports REST-based integrations, OAuth and other authentication mechanisms, ACL-based access control, and IntegrationHub capabilities for connecting external systems.

Key Responsibilities1. ServiceNow Integration

· Design, develop, configure, and maintain integrations between ServiceNow and enterprise/cloud platforms.

· Develop integrations using REST APIs, SOAP APIs, webhooks, JSON, XML, OAuth 2.0, API keys, and other integration technologies.

· Build and maintain ServiceNow IntegrationHub flows, actions, spokes, and subflows.

· Configure inbound and outbound integrations between ServiceNow and security, cloud, ITSM, CMDB, monitoring, and business applications.

· Develop and maintain custom REST APIs and integration endpoints where required.

· Configure connection and credential aliases and ensure secure management of integration credentials.

· Troubleshoot API failures, authentication issues, data mapping problems, and integration performance issues.

· Implement appropriate logging, monitoring, error handling, retry mechanisms, and alerting.

ServiceNow IntegrationHub supports REST actions and connection/credential aliases for integrating external systems, while REST API access can be controlled through authentication, roles, ACLs, and access policies.

2. Cloud Security

· Design and implement security controls for cloud-based infrastructure and applications.

· Assess cloud environments for security risks, vulnerabilities, misconfigurations, and compliance gaps.

· Implement security best practices covering IAM, least privilege, encryption, network security, secrets management, logging, monitoring, and incident response.

· Integrate cloud security platforms with ServiceNow to automate incident, vulnerability, asset, and security operations workflows.

· Work with cloud platforms such as AWS, Microsoft Azure, and/or Google Cloud Platform (GCP).

· Support security monitoring and automated response workflows.

· Integrate security tools such as SIEM, vulnerability management, EDR/XDR, CSPM, IAM, and security monitoring platforms with ServiceNow.

Required Qualifications

· Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Cybersecurity, Engineering, or a related field.

· 5+ years of experience in IT engineering, cloud security, ServiceNow, systems integration, or a related technical role.

· Hands-on experience with ServiceNow platform and integrations.

· Strong knowledge of REST APIs, HTTP, JSON, XML, OAuth 2.0, API authentication, and webhooks.

· Experience with ServiceNow IntegrationHub, Flow Designer, REST/SOAP integrations, and CMDB.

· Good understanding of cloud security principles and enterprise security architecture.

· Experience with at least one major cloud platform: AWS, Azure, or GCP.

· Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.

· Ability to work with cross-functional teams and communicate technical concepts effectively.
