Role Description The Information Technology Manager is a full-time, on-site role based in Chattanooga, TN, responsible for overseeing the company’s IT infrastructure and services across all locations. This role manages network and server operations, hardware and software lifecycle, data backups, and cybersecurity measures to ensure reliable, secure systems. The IT Manager leads and mentors IT staff, coordinates with business and manufacturing teams to support production systems, ERP and other business applications, and resolves user support issues. Daily activities include monitoring system performance, implementing upgrades, managing vendors and service providers, and maintaining documentation and IT policies. The role also drives technology projects, supports compliance requirements, and identifies opportunities to improve efficiency and reduce risk through effective use of technology.
Qualifications
- Strong proficiency in IT infrastructure management, including networks, servers, storage, and cloud or virtualized environments.
- Experience with cybersecurity practices, endpoint protection, access controls, and data backup and disaster recovery solutions.
- Skill in administering business systems such as ERP, manufacturing or inventory software, and productivity tools (e.g., Microsoft 365).
- Demonstrated ability in IT project management, vendor management, and budgeting for hardware, software, and services.
- Experience providing technical support, troubleshooting issues, and creating clear documentation and user guides.
- Creates graphic design and marketing materials and supports company websites and social media using Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign, and WordPress.
- Leadership capabilities to supervise IT staff, collaborate cross-functionally, and communicate effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Education and Experience
- Master’s Degree in Computer Science, or related field preferred
- Five or more years of progressive IT experience, including two or more years in a leadership or supervisory role, required.
- Hands-on experience administering or supporting ERP systems and experience in a manufacturing environment preferred
