As part of a multidisciplinary team, you will be responsible for coordinating and implementing technical controls and configuration settings and will work in a team environment alongside other cybersecurity engineers and Risk Management Framework (RMF) analysts responsible for supporting Information System Security Engineering efforts..
Responsibilities
- Helping develop and review System Security System Security Plans (SSP), Personnel Security, Disaster Recovery, Incident Responses, and Authentication Management policies and plans.
- Helping develop detailed and thorough site survey report documentation.
- Assisting in device configuration of Windows Operating Systems, Applications, and Cisco IOS devices to comply with Defense Information Systems Agency (DISA), Security Technical Implementation Guide (STIG), and other guidelines.
- Applying operating system patches, service packs, hotfixes, and software/ firmware updates.
- Supporting automated system software update methodologies and technologies
- Performing system vulnerability scans including Nessus / ACAS, and SCAP Compliance Checker (SCC)
- Information Technology, Risk Management, Cybersecurity
- High School Degree or GED with 6+ Years of experience
- Associate's Degree with 4+ Years of experience
- Bachelor's Degree with 0+ Years of experience
- CCNA-Security, GICSP, GSEC, Security+ CE or SSCP
- Effective collaborative skills with excellent written and oral communication skills.
- Excellent organizational skills with accuracy and attention to detail.
- Strong MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and General Office Applications Skills.
- Exposure to computer screens for an extended period of time.
- Sitting for extended periods of time.
- Reach by extending hands or arms in any direction.
- Have finger dexterity in order to manipulate objects with fingers rather than whole hands or arms, for example, using a keyboard.
- Listen to and understand information and ideas presented through spoken words and sentences.
