Security - Third Shift

Location: Rockford, IL, 61109

Job Summary

We are seeking a vigilant and dependable Security Officer to join our team for the third shift in Rockford, IL. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining a safe and secure environment by monitoring premises, enforcing company policies, responding promptly to incidents during overnight hours, cleaning and pool maintenance required.. Work schedule is 12:00 a.m. to 8:00 a.m. Wednesday through Sunday.

Key Responsibilities

• Patrol assigned areas to prevent and detect signs of intrusion or unusual activity.
• Monitor security cameras and alarm systems to ensure safety of personnel and property.
• Respond promptly and appropriately to alarms, emergencies, and incidents.
• Enforce company policies and procedures to maintain order and safety.
• Document daily activities, irregularities, and incidents in detailed reports.
• Collaborate with local law enforcement and emergency personnel when necessary.
• Assist employees and visitors by providing directions and information as needed.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Previous security or law enforcement experience preferred.
• Ability to work overnight shifts (typically 11:00 PM to 7:00 AM).
• Strong observational and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
• Ability to remain alert and attentive for extended periods.
• Must be able to pass background checks and drug screenings.

Work Environment

This position requires working primarily during the third shift hours in various indoor and outdoor settings. The role may involve standing or walking for extended periods and occasional physical activity.
