Protocol Risk Analyst

You will produce the evaluations that are the product: take a protocol, map who controls it on-chain, apply the methodology, and ship a clear, defensible rating. As coverage grows, you turn a rigorous process into consistent volume without losing the rigor.

What you'll do

• Evaluate protocols end to end, from mapping privileged functions to a final security and relevance score.
• Write the plain-language verdict that explains, in evidence, why a protocol holds up or does not.
• Apply the methodology consistently across protocols, and flag where it needs to evolve.
• Keep coverage growing and current as new protocols and changes come in.

What we're looking for

• A working understanding of EVM smart contracts and access-control, proxy, and upgrade patterns.
• Comfort reading unfamiliar contracts and on-chain data, and reasoning from evidence.
• Strong, precise writing: you can state a risk plainly and back it up.
• The discipline to apply a standard the same way every time.

Nice to have

• Exposure to audits, security research, or on-chain investigation.
• Familiarity with DeFi protocols and how they hold and move funds.

Compensation

The salary range for this role is $110K to $145K, based on experience, plus equity and benefits. The range is shown up front so you know where you stand before the first call.
