Our client is one of Greece's largest research-driven pharmaceutical companies, with a portfolio of more than 100 commercialized products reaching patients in over 90 countries. Operating across highly regulated environments, including GxP, FDA 21 CFR Part 11, EMA and GDPR, the company maintains rigorous standards around information security, data integrity and regulatory compliance. The role of Cybersecurity Engineer sits within the Corporate IT / IT Systems, Infrastructure & Security department and reports directly to the Head of IT Systems, Infrastructure & Security.


The Role

You'll own the implementation, monitoring and continuous improvement of cybersecurity controls protecting the company's manufacturing systems, research environments and clinical data. Working across endpoint, identity, network and cloud security, you'll help maintain a secure technology environment while ensuring alignment with pharmaceutical regulatory and data integrity requirements.


You'll work hands-on with endpoint security, SIEM monitoring, identity and access management, DLP and Azure security, while conducting vulnerability assessments and supporting remediation activities. You'll also contribute security requirements to new system implementations and participate in Business Continuity and Disaster Recovery testing across environments where GxP and ALCOA+ principles apply.


What You'll Bring

  • 3+ years of hands-on experience in cybersecurity, including vulnerability assessment, application security, or security systems engineering
  • Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field
  • Strong knowledge of network security, encryption, identity and access management (IAM), and endpoint protection
  • Practical experience with SIEM platforms such as Microsoft Sentinel, Splunk, QRadar, or equivalent
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft security technologies and frameworks
  • Familiarity with security and regulatory frameworks such as GxP, ISO 27001, NIST, and GDPR
  • Experience performing vulnerability assessments using manual techniques and commercial or open-source security tools
  • Understanding of CVE, CVSS, OWASP methodologies, and vulnerability management practices
  • Ability to write or modify scripts to automate vulnerability management and security-related tasks
  • Ability to work independently, manage priorities, and take ownership of security activities with limited supervision


Nice to Have

  • Previous experience within pharmaceutical, healthcare, life sciences, or another highly regulated environment
  • Understanding of data integrity principles, particularly ALCOA+
  • Hands-on experience with Microsoft Azure cloud security
  • Relevant cybersecurity certifications such as CISSP, CEH, CompTIA Security+, or equivalent


What's in it for You

€3,000 – €3,700 Gross / Month, commensurate with experience, plus private health insurance. This is a hybrid role based in Athens, with four days onsite and one day remote per week.
