Cybersecurity Specialist

Kaban Boracay Hotel & Casino is seeking for a Cybersecurity Specialist to join our pre-opening team. This position is responsible for protecting the organization’s information systems, networks, applications, and digital assets against cybersecurity threats. The role will support the implementation and monitoring of security controls, incident response, vulnerability management, and compliance initiatives to ensure the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of the organization’s technology environment in a fast-paced casino and hospitality setting.

Job Description:

• Monitor hotel, casino, network, server, endpoint, POS, and other critical systems for cybersecurity threats.
• Maintain and improve firewalls, endpoint security, SIEM, access controls, and other security tools.
• Investigate and respond to cybersecurity incidents, including malware, phishing, and unauthorized access.
• Identify vulnerabilities and coordinate remediation across IT and business-critical systems.
• Support compliance with cybersecurity, data privacy, payment, and applicable gaming/casino requirements.
• Protect guest, employee, financial, payment, and other confidential information.
• Conduct security assessments and recommend improvements to strengthen the organization's security posture.
• Support cybersecurity awareness, phishing prevention, and employee security training.
• Maintain security documentation, reports, policies, and incident records.
• Coordinate with IT, Casino Operations, Finance, Security/Surveillance, Hotel Operations, vendors, and auditors on cybersecurity matters.
• Familiarity with SIEM, EDR, firewalls, VPN, vulnerability management, and access controls.

Qualifications:

• Experience with hotel, casino, gaming, hospitality, POS, payment, or other 24/7 operational environments is an advantage.
• Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Cybersecurity, Information Systems, or related field.
• 2–4 years of experience in cybersecurity, information security, network security, systems administration, or a related IT security role.
• Relevant certifications such as Security+, CySA+, CEH, CISSP, or equivalent are an advantage.
• High level of confidentiality, attention to detail, and accountability.
