Job Title: Senior Cyber Security Project Manager (Project Manager III)

Position Summary

We are seeking an experienced Senior Cyber Security Project Manager (Project Manager III) to lead multiple enterprise security initiatives. This role requires a highly organized, proactive, and independent project manager who can drive complex cybersecurity projects with minimal supervision. The ideal candidate has extensive experience managing cybersecurity programs, creating project plans from scratch, and successfully partnering with technical teams and executive stakeholders to deliver projects on time and within scope.

While this position works closely with cybersecurity teams, the selected candidate is not expected to be a hands-on security engineer or technical SME. Instead, success in this role comes from strong project management, stakeholder engagement, risk management, and execution capabilities.

Responsibilities

• Lead multiple cybersecurity projects simultaneously from initiation through completion.
• Develop and maintain comprehensive project plans, schedules, milestones, and deliverables independently.
• Drive project execution while managing scope, timelines, budgets, risks, issues, and dependencies.
• Coordinate cross-functional teams including Security, Infrastructure, Engineering, Compliance, and Business stakeholders.
• Facilitate project meetings, status updates, executive presentations, and steering committee discussions.
• Identify project risks and implement mitigation strategies to ensure successful delivery.
• Manage stakeholder expectations and effectively influence project decisions across all organizational levels.
• Track project progress and provide regular status reporting to leadership.
• Ensure project documentation is complete, accurate, and aligned with organizational standards.
• Support Waterfall and Hybrid project delivery methodologies across multiple concurrent initiatives.

Cyber Security Project Experience

Candidates should have experience managing projects in one or more of the following areas:

• Identity & Access Management (IAM)
• Security Governance
• Compliance & Risk Management
• Vulnerability Management
• Application Security
• Security Engineering and Architecture

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience.
• 8+ years of Project Management experience leading enterprise IT initiatives.
• Proven experience managing Cyber Security programs and projects.
• Demonstrated ability to create and manage detailed project plans independently.
• Experience managing multiple concurrent projects in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong experience with:
• Project planning and execution
• Risk and issue management
• Timeline and dependency management
• Stakeholder and executive communication
• Status reporting and governance
• Experience facilitating meetings, workshops, and executive presentations.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work independently with minimal direction and quickly become productive.
• Experience using Microsoft Project and Jira.
• Experience delivering projects using Waterfall and Hybrid methodologies.

Preferred Qualifications

• PMP (Project Management Professional) Certification.
• Experience working within enterprise Cyber Security organizations.
• Familiarity with security terminology, frameworks, and enterprise security environments.
