🔒 We're Hiring: Manufacturing IT - Cybersecurity Specialist
We're seeking a person to lead cybersecurity initiatives across manufacturing and industrial control system environments. In this role, you'll work at the intersection of IT and OT, helping ensure the security, reliability, and availability of production systems, industrial networks, SCADA platforms, PLCs, and connected manufacturing technologies while supporting safe and efficient plant operations.
Hybrid position | 3 days in office, 2 days from home
Office located in Escazu and will be moved to AFZ in January 2027
English is necessary for this positions and all interviews will be conducted in English
Mandatory Skills
- 2+ years of experience in cybersecurity, industrial automation, manufacturing IT, or OT environments
- Hands-on experience supporting manufacturing or process control networks
- Experience with industrial communication protocols such as Ethernet/IP, Modbus TCP, Profinet, OPC, or DNP3
- Strong knowledge of industrial cybersecurity principles, network security, and OT/ICS environments
Key Responsibilites
- Implement and maintain OT cybersecurity programs aligned with ISA/IEC 62443, NIST Cybersecurity Framework, and corporate security standards
- Conduct cybersecurity risk assessments and vulnerability management activities across industrial control systems and manufacturing networks
- Design, implement, and support secure industrial network architectures, including firewalls, segmentation, and remote access solutions
- Monitor OT environments for security threats, vulnerabilities, and suspicious activities, supporting incident response efforts as needed
- Support cybersecurity requirements for SCADA systems, PLCs, DCS, HMIs, historians, MES platforms, and Industrial IoT devices
- Coordinate OT patch management, secure configuration reviews, and remediation activities while minimizing operational impact
- Ensure compliance with cybersecurity regulations, audit requirements, and governance standards through documentation and reporting
- Partner with operations, engineering, automation, and IT teams to drive secure digital transformation initiatives and cybersecurity awareness
