We are currently looking for an Account Specialist to join our team in Elkhart, IN. The Account Specialist coordinates internal customer account activities for select groups of Customers and assists Director of Business Development with special projects and customer/service support.
Job Specific Competencies
Customer Account Management
- Enters new orders, daily and weekly
- Processes order amendments
- Expedites orders
- Resolves late shipments by reviewing order backlog
- Processes credit card transactions
- Confirms customer orders, pricing and delivery dates
- Advises customers on expedite fees
- Maintains and Responds to all correspondence
- Investigates and resolves problem deliveries
- Enters and maintains customer and sales data
- Prepares reports as requested
- Provides instruction for account coverage in the event of absence/vacation
- Updates Vendor sites and websites for customers
- Issues Return Goods Authorizations and Credit Memos as needed
- Reviews, enters and updates customer forecasts, as well as reporting any changes to Accounting Manager and Sales Manager
- Analyses customer forecasts to ensure no duplication of material planning
- Accountable for maintaining accuracy of customer forecasts, including entry and cancellation.
- Reviews assigned customer forecasts weekly
- Contacts customer for clarification or resolution of discrepancies in forecasts
- Initiates product price quotes in collaboration with Sales representatives or Dir. Business Development.
- Maintains part price information, including EAU/MOQ
- Reviews feasibility and quotes on new products
- Analyzes RFQ’s and makes recommendations to Sales on business case
- Reviews and compiles information on production end of life items
- Reviews and implements price changes from production to service pricing
- Collaborates with Purchasing, Sales and Engineering for blue planner item entry
- Collaborates with Outside Sales Representatives on account activities
- Collaborates with shipping department
- Participates in meetings with Production, Purchasing and Engineering to monitor order progress and resolution of shortages/late shipments
- Ensure legal compliance with state, federal and OSHA requirements
- Ensure ISO procedures are followed
- Maintain compliance with all company policies and procedures
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Excellent computer skills
- Demonstrates high proficiency with Microsoft Office products, especially Excel.
