Overview
The Project Manager is responsible for leading the planning, execution, governance, reporting, stakeholder management, and delivery health of client engagements. The role owns day-to-day execution, manages workflows and risks, maintains delivery documentation, supports financial accountability, and leads structured communication across clients, consultants, Account Managers, and internal leadership.
Responsibilities
• Own day-to-day execution of the engagement.
• Manage workflows, milestones, dependencies, and risks.
• Maintain and continuously improve process documentation.
• Identify blockers, escalation needs, and opportunities to improve delivery outcomes.
• Produce consistent weekly project status reporting using Evergreen standards.
• Report transparently on progress against deliverables, risks, issues, urgent items, and work queues/backlog health.
• Maintain core project artifacts, including project plans, process flows, job aids, and reconciliation reports.
• Support invoicing, approvals, and financial reconciliation.
• Partner with internal stakeholders to ensure delivery aligns to engagement economics.
• Own delivery health to ensure programs are self-sustaining and operationally sound.
• Serve as the escalation point for delivery challenges and decisions.
• Lead structured communication across clients, consultants, Account Managers, and internal leadership.
• Support recruiting by providing role clarity and participating in consultant screening.
• Ensure consultants are onboarded, trained, engaged, and clear on expectations.
Additional Role Notes
• Works closely with the Project Lead to provide oversight to assigned portions of the PMO.
• Responsible for leading the planning, execution, and control of medium or large complex utility projects.
• Develops comprehensive project plans and leads project teams to achieve project goals.
• Manages project stakeholders, including senior management, internal departments, and external vendors.
• Develops and implements project controls processes to monitor and report on project performance, including cost, schedule, and quality.
• Ensures on-time reporting and best-practice adherence.
Qualifications
• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction, Business, or similar field.
• Approximately 5-8 years of project management experience; utilities, engineering, or construction experience preferred.
• Proven leadership and stakeholder management capability.
• Comfort working in structured systems such as ERP, CRM, and project management tools.
Preferred
• Utility transmission, electric, gas, or infrastructure experience.
